A year on, I get the honour of wishing this Ghanaian and Danish Mahogany Couple Mandy and Nickolai a happy 1st Wedding Anniversary!
The joys of having Mandy as a Mahogany Bride is one I will always value. She was determined to be one and clients like her are hard to find. I will use this opportunity to say thank you to Mandy and Nickolai for choosing Think Mahogany for your Traditional Engagement and Wedding. God continue to bless you!
Mandy is currently a Student in Denmark, married to an Entrepreneur. They met in December 2012 at Polo Court in Accra, whilst she was on official work duty. She said it was certainly love at first sight.
Nikolai popped the “Will You Marry Me” question in April 2014, 2 years and 3 months after they met and on 4th July 2015, I was honoured to be their Event Stylist.
Mandy said she wanted white and gold as the base colours for her event and traditional themed set up donate show the culture of Ghana. The event was held in her father’s home as it is customary to have traditional marriage at home .
Me being me, I asked; “How did he propose?” and she said “it was out of the blue during a phone conversation during our long distance relationship at the time. I was totally stunned because we had had no conversation of that sort around that time.”
She said YES as she has always wanted a man with a heart like Nickolai’s and when she found him she knew he wasn’t going anywhere else.
The long distance relationship they had before getting married needed endurance, but their friendship kept and continues to keep their bond together.
The ceremony had many loved ones, many of which were Mandy’s supportive friends.
After the Traditional Engagement, a Wedding Ceremony was immediately held, giving Mandy’s dad the opportunity to walk his beloved daughter down the aisle.
Her choice of Gown by She By Bena was because she wanted a classic look and her Make-Up was by Margee.
She and Nickolai’s rings were simple and classic, of Scandinavian design.
For their Wedding Cake, they wanted something simple and classy and Auntie Sally of Dream Dessert gave them just that. Beautiful!
Mandy, how would you describe your wedding day?
Amazing! She said.
I must say, my mother and I fell in love with Mandy the day we actually got to spend a little time with her. Our consultation was done in my house, one my day off. Goes to show!
Thank you Possible Image for the beautiful Wedding Trailer.
Our Summary of the day in photos is also here!
Now allow me to let you in on another set of good news!
Half a year later, look who is bumped up in her red dress???
Mimi of Funsations, the themed party company in Accra put together a Baby Shower for Mandy on the “is it going to be Mickey or Minnie” quest.
Mandy had yet again another amazing time, so did her friend.
A few weeks before her 1st Wedding anniversary, came along our beautiful Baby Maho.
Minnie won the quest. A beautiful angel, who has given her mother a taste of heaven.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MANDY AND NICKOLAI!
