On the 30th April 2016 an executive team from Coventry University lead by the Professor John Latham 
, Vice-Chancellor and CEO of Coventry University held a networking event at Labadi Beach Hotel for all Coventry Alumni with FOCUS on Ghana. After this, Coventry University had an agreement of goodwill with International Alumni Ambassador, Miss. Debra-Jane Nelson in conjunction with GTUC to convene all FOCUS alumni in Ghana.



theblackwoodstudio-coventry-university-0131Debra-Jane Nelson is an award winning entrepreneur and an MBA holder in International Business from Coventry University, UK and now International Alumni Ambassador and President of its Alumnus in Ghana, FOCUS Ghana Chapter.

She is the Managing Director and Head Event Stylist at Think Mahogany Ltd, Training Facilitator at Events Masterclass Ghana and Consultant at Charis Jadlen Ltd.  She is a partner of AOKI Ghana, importers of Natural Tea.



She is co-founder of a UK based government certified Charity Organisation which provides health and social care support and education for people infected and affected with HIV/AIDS.

She is also an advocate of Breast Cancer support and education initiatives.

She is great at developing artistic concepts and often described as a creative person with impressive ideas. She identifies, implements and promotes enhancements to organisation procedures and controls with high accountability for achieving objectives and successful closure of projects. She is Result-Oriented, Business Minded, Innovative, Hardworking, Principled, Honest, and Ambitious with Endearing Potentials.


The launch on Saturday 29th October 2016 at the British Council, Accra, was to officially introduce FOCUS Ghana Chapter and welcome all alumni from all campuses of Coventry University both in UK and Ghana (Ghana Technology University College).
